Located in the La Molina valley, crossed by the Alp river, at an altitude between 1,400 to 1,700m. La Molina belongs to the Alp town council in the town center of La Molina , you can find an important shopping area, good restaurants and accommodations for short visits in summer or winter. La Molina, was born thanks to the precursors of winter sports and has grown around its winter resort, which offers typical ski, snow and other recreational services related to snow, but also enjoy summer holidays in the mountains.
Selected in 1911 for the first ski competitions in Spain it has always been the pioneer in modernization and expansion of slopes: in 1943, the first ski lift was installed, in 1946, the first chair lift in Spain, and gradually, referring to the condition, has been a pioneer in successive incorporation of new lifts, artificial snow cannons and other technological advances.
